An upbringing in the countryside of the Derbyshire
Cheshire border gives Jo Burke her enduring passion for sporting
animals, especially horses.
Inspired in her youth by the Grand National, Jo went on to work
with race-horses, event horses and show-jumpers in the UK, Italy
and Australia before completing her education at The Royal College
of Agriculture, Cirencester.
Jo started sculpting in clay and wax a few years ago, and despite
coming from a highly artistic family, is completely self taught.
She now lives on the North Yorkshire Moors with her cat and regularly
hunts with the Cleveland and Bilsdale hounds. |
